OZSTRAW™

Who are we?

OZSTRAW™ is a manufacturer of environmental-friendly natural straws. Founded in early 2019 and launched our product in year 2020, our headquarter operates out of Perth, Western Australia with our Straw Factory located in Bandung, Indonesia.

What do we do?

OZSTRAW™ produces biodegradable hand-crafted bamboo straws.

How do we do this?

The bamboo used for our straws are harvested all year around with deliveries to our factory made at the end of every month. Following the arrival, all the bamboo straw undergoes the following three-stage cleaning process: first, boiling & drying in natural sun; second, bathing in 20mg sterilized o-zone waters followed by thorough brushing; third, UV light drying. This three-stage process allows us to kill and remove harmful bacteria, mold and micro-organisms within the bamboo straw.

What makes us that much more SPECIAL?

In ensuring that the entire growth and development stages involved in creating our straws are free from any chemical refinements, such as: pesticides, bleaches, detergent and sanitizers. Our products are compostable and can be disposed off with no ramifications to the environment.

Further, with each straw carefully cut, refined and polished by individual craftsmen, we are able to support the local community in different parts of Indonesia through involvement in farming and crafting efforts of our straws.

Lastly, as part of our research and development efforts, we’ve invented a modernized cleaning procedure which differs from the traditional methods still in use. Like with everything else we do, our cleaning approach comes with the least amount of repercussion to the environment in that it we refrain from using any chemicals but also prolongs the use of our straws through the cleaning itself, win-win!
